Docuseries for Independent Schools
Taking a project from conception through production, post, and delivery takes a high attention to detail and dedication to excellence at every step of the way. One of our specialties is doing this in the form of documentary-style short-form video content and docuseries for Independent K-12 schools. These films weave together the story of the school's history, while also spotlighting certain legacy teachers in order to capture and memorialize these important pieces of an Independent School's story. Conception
We begin with a conversation about what is important to capture for past, current and future generations of the school. Is it creating a visual archive of all of the photos in the yearbooks? Or documenting interviews with beloved teachers and their students? Once we've determined the scope of the project, we can figure out how many short films we should aim to create.

Pre-Production
This is where the client and I discuss the breadth of the production, and from there, I can estimate how many shoot days this project will require, what type of crew, what type of content we will capture, the amount of archival photos and/or footage the school can provide, and the number of edit days the project will take. I will put together a schedule with dates and deadlines.

Production
Depending on the scope of the docuseries, this may be 2-6 shoot days, which will consist of interviews with current and former teachers, staff members and students, as well as b-roll of the school in it's current state and everyday life. We will work together to craft a production schedule for each shoot day.

Post-Production
Once the shoot days are complete, we begin the process of importing all of the archival photos and new footage that we shot into the editing software, and organizing everything into the different individual films in the series. All of the interviews will be transcribed, and the producer will rough out the story arc of each film by selecting interview bites. A professional editor will add custom graphics, music, and sound design, and the client will be able to view each film for feedback once completed.

Delivery
When the final films are approved, I will deliver all interview transcripts, high resolution files of each film, and an external drive with all of the elements.
